This is it

One more set back and October is gone with no official launch. We now have the resources to start the ball rolling. We now have a logo guy. We are thinking that we can get the buisness started late January.


Triumphs: Michelle made a chocolate cake with a secret ingredient and it was perfect! No really, it looked, tasted, and texturally was a perfect chocolate cake.

The Day Has Come

We are going to start to home cooking classes and selling our mixes. Finally, God has opened the doors so that we can walk through. It has been hard to watch the landscape through windows. Here we go, CHARGE!!!!

Triumphs for the month: Jamie has made a vanilla cake that everyone loved at the church potluck. Of course most didn't know that it was gluten free. The mix would good as a coffee cake too! Michelle has made cookies that are divine!

So Close!

After careful consideration we are definitely going to start to sell mixes.  We are going to try to make them as inexpensive as possible so that everyone can afford them, especially in these economic times.  Michelle had a stroke of genius.  We are going to convert her family garage into a commercial kitchen!  The garage is small and they don't use it for very much so why not!

Kitchen triumphs: Michelle made the bread stick mix and had to alter it slightly because she didn't have the right amount of one of the flours.  It still turned out beautifully.  Jamie took the bread recipe (still trying to make it without corn starch) and made rolls in muffin tins.  They turned out beautiful too!  

Craziness

Well we have missed our deadline set for ourselves to get the business running.  We had a few major family issues that we had to rely on God that He would pull us through.  Also Jamie's job became overwhelming because the local Health and Welfare department had to come in and view files so that the company could get a renewal license.  It is May now and we still are not there...yet!  But God is guiding us through the process.  He has brought us through a most trying time and has given each family the peace and time so that Michelle and Jamie can concentrate on MJ's Pantry.  Thank you for all the prayers that everyone lifted up for us....
